O čem je Anna ze Zelených vršků?
Kanadský rodinný film se odehrává na sklonku sedmdesátých let devatenáctého století na nádherném Ostrově prince Edwarda. Právě tady žije se svou sestrou Marillou farmář a starý mládenec Matthew Cuthbert. Oba osamělí lidé touží po společnosti, a tak se rozhodnou adoptovat chlapce, který by jim později pomohl na farmě. Místo toho je k nim však omylem posláno děvče jménem Anne Shirleyová. Anne si musí u Cuthbertových, ve škole i v městečku Avonlea vydobýt své místo, aby si zajistila, že se už nikdy nevrátí do sirotčince.

Anne of Green Gables follows the life of an orphan called Anne Shirley from her childhood to her teenage years. At the beginning of the 20th century at Prince Edward Island, Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, two middle aged brother and sister come to realize the need to get some help to run their Green Gables farm and decide to adopt an orphan boy. However, due to a mistake, a very special girl is sent to them. Anne's character is the opposite of Marilla's, and despite the initial decision to send the girl back, she decides to let her stay on trial. It won't take long for the girl to change Marilla's mind and make her aware that ever since Anne's arrival, their lives have changed for the best.
