The time has finally come: head physician Dr. Daniel Guth proposes to Miriam and also decides to invest in the Alpenklinik. The couple's happiness seems perfect when dark clouds gather: Impressed by her professional skills, Daniel hires the competent Linda Singer, who has applied for the vacant senior doctor position at the Alpenklinik. But Linda seems to be hiding something. Mayor Rosner, of all people, discovers the new doctor's secret. The scheming businessman gains a welcome ally in Linda for his plans to restructure the Alpenklinik. Shortly before the wedding, Miriam suddenly faints and struggles with death...
