Worum geht es in Black Lagoon?
In Black Lagoon geht es um eine Gruppe von Piraten, die unter dem Namen Lagoon Company bekannt sind. Mitte der 1990er Jahre schmuggelte die Lagoon Company Güter innerhalb der Meere von Südostasien. Ihre Basis liegt dabei im Hafen der Stadt Roanapur im Südosten Thailands. Auf den Meeren sind sie unterwegs mit der sogenannten Black Lagoon, einem 24 Meter langem Schnellboot. Die Lagoon Company hat mehrere Geschäftsbeziehungen zu den verschiedensten Klienten, unter anderem dem russischen Kriminalitätssyndikat in Moskau. Auf ihren Reisen sind sie oft in Seeschlachten, Kämpfe und Schusswechsel involviert.
