Worum geht es in Journey to the End of the Night?
Sao Paolo bei Nacht. Der alternde Nachtclubbesitzer und Lude Rosso (Scott Glenn) ist durch Zufall an einen Koffer voll Rauschgift gekommen. Jetzt sieht er endlich die Chance gekommen, seiner verpfuschten Existenz zu entkommen und seiner jungen, zweiten Frau Angie (Catalina Sandino Moreno) und seinem jüngsten Sohn ein besseres Leben in der Sonne zu schenken. Also hat einen Deal mit ein paar Nigerianern eingefädelt, die ihm den Stoff abnehmen wollen. Einziges Problem: Sie wollen nur mit Landsmännern Geschäfte machen. Und der nigerianische Kurier, den Rosso und sein ältester Sohn Paul (Brandan Fraser) ausgesucht haben, bekommt beim Stelldichein mit einer Transvestiten-Hure einen tödlichen Herzinfarkt.
