Worum geht es in Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon?
In einer Blutmondnacht erwacht Mona Lisa nach vielen lethargischen Jahren in einer Psychiatrie in Louisiana. Es scheint, als hätte man sie völlig vergessen und sich selbst überlassen. Sie schafft es, aus der Anstalt zu entkommen und schlägt sich bis auf die Straßen von New Orleans durch. Sie trifft auf die Stripperin Bonnie, die das junge Mädchen bei sich aufnimmt und dabei auch ihre Gabe erkennt: Mona Lisa kann den Willen anderer Menschen kontrollieren. Bonnie nutzt Mona Lisas Fähigkeit für sich und ihre Raubzüge, während sich zwischen dem Mädchen und Bonnies kleinem Sohn Charlie eine Freundschaft entwickelt. Es dauert aber nicht lange, bis die Diebstähle auffliegen und Mona Lisa fortan von der Polizei gejagt wird ...
