Worum geht es in Motherland?
Julia hat zwei Kinder, ja, Junge und Mädchen, was? Fünf und neun. Aber sie hat auch einen Job und diese drei Dinge passen in der britischen Kleinstadt, in der sie lebt, oft nicht gut zusammen. In der britischen Comedyserie „Motherland“ begleiten wir Julia in einen Tag, an dem alles schief geht. Angefangen damit, dass ihre Hippie-Mutter sich entscheidet, nicht mehr als täglicher Babysitter einzuspringen, ihr Ex-Mann keine Hilfe ist und sie zu guter Letzt sie aus einer Gruppe finanziell vorteilhaft verheirateter Vollzeitmütter geworfen wird. Aber dafür hat sie in Liz und Kevin zwei neue Freunde gefunden, die dort ebenfalls nicht gerne gesehen sind.
