Worum geht es in Whitechapel?
Detective Inspector Joseph Chandler ist der neue Chef der Ostlondoner Mordkommission und in dieser Funktion nur auf der Karrieredurchreise, wenn alles glatt geht. Doch es geht nicht glatt, denn pünktlich zu seinem Amtsantritt beginnt ein überaus cleverer Unhold, den legendären Serienmörder Jack the Ripper zu imitieren. Während von allen Seiten der Druck wächst, dem Täter das Blutwerk zu legen, muss der unerfahrene Chandler erst mal lernen, mit einer Kollegentruppe zu kooperieren, die ihn nach gründlich vermasseltem Einstand erst einmal hasst.
