Di cosa parla Legions of the Nile?
Gli eventi storici appaiono un pretesto rispetto all'intreccio amoroso. Della bellissima Cleopatra, da tempo legata a Marc'Antonio, si innamora il centurione Curridio, giunto ad Alessandria per evitare una guerra tra Antonio e Augusto. Il centurione fallisce nell'intento. Frattanto l'aspra battaglia che si è scatenata tra i due condottieri vede la totale sconfitta di Antonio. Nell'eccidio, Curridio riuscirà a evitare la morte di Marianna, una fanciulla che da tempo lo ama in silenzio.
