Di cosa parla Maria Watches Over Us?
La protagonista si accinge ad entrare in un’accademia cattolica, per sole ragazze, chiamata Lillian. In questa scuola spiccano tre ragazze alle quali è associato il nome di un fiore: Rosa Gigantea (bianca); Rosa Sinensis (rossa); Rosa Foetida (gialla). Queste possono scegliere una ragazza del secondo anno come “en bouton”, che prenderà il loro posto l’anno seguente… e queste a loro volta possono scegliere una ragazza del primo anno ("petite soeur"). La protagonista, Fukuzawa Yumi, ha da sempre ammirato una ragazza di nome Sachiko, ovvero l’en bouton di Rosa Sinensis. Gli eventi fanno in modo che Sachiko le chieda di diventare la sua petite soeur, ma lei rifiuta…

The Valentines' Day dates take place, with Chisato Tanuma finding Yoshino's card and Tōko finding Yumi's. During Tōko and Yumi's date, even more about Tōko's past is revealed, as well as her reasons for running away from home. They eventually visit the hospital owned by Tōko's grandfather, and Touko slowly starts to open up to Yumi. The season ends with Yumi's thought of Tōko accepting her rosary.
