Di cosa parla The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters?
Quando Steve Wiebe, un insegnante di scienze 35 enne, perde il suo lavoro, la sua fiducia in sé crolla. Chiuso in casa, inizia a giocare on-line a un videogioco, 'Donkey Kong' e se ne appassiona. Il record appartiene a un ragazzo: Billy Mitchell che è osannato come il giocatore del secolo. Giorno dopo giorno, Steve si mette in testa di battere quel record. Così inizia a trascorrere le giornate attaccato al pc. La sera, quando la moglie e le figlie vanno a dormire, Steve continua a giocare. Un giorno, finalmente, riesce a battere il punteggio di Billy. Il suo nuovo record sembra imbattibile: 1.000.000 di punti. Nella sua cittadina, Seattle, Steve si trasforma ben presto in una celebrità. Intanto a Hollywood, in Florida, Billy si sta preparando a riprendersi il suo record. Ma ormai Steve è un altro uomo: ha ritrovato la fiducia e il rispetto di se stesso e può dedicarsi alla sfida del secolo. Il vincitore, infatti, vedrà il suo nome sul Guinness dei primati del 2007.
