世界を目指す七瀬遙の新たな舞台は、かつて訪れた夢の場所・シドニー。旅立つ前につかの間の休息を過ごしていたある日、遙は全日本選抜大会で戦ったある選手と偶然対峙し、闘志を見せる。ともに泳いできた仲間たちの想いを胸にさらなる新境地へ踏み出していく遙。そこに待ち受けるのは絶対王者・アルベルト・ヴォーランデル。シドニー大会に向けて、選手たちはそれぞれに士気を高めていく。世界の頂点を競う中で、彼らは何を感じ、何のために泳ぐのか。水と向き合う彼らの熱き戦いが、ここから始まる――！
