Yukihira Souma's droom is om fulltime chef-kok te worden in het restaurant van zijn vader en de culinaire vaardigheden van zijn vader te overtreffen. Maar net als Yukihira afstudeert aan de middelbare school, sluit zijn vader, Yukihira Jouichirou, het restaurant om de wereld rond te reizen en te koken.
