Viktoria en Vincent, die al tien jaar gescheiden zijn, ontmoeten elkaar onverwachts opnieuw vanwege een erfeniskwestie. Dit is ook verrassend omdat beiden slechts verre kennissen van de overledene zijn. Maar de rijke tante Agathe liet haar hebzuchtige naaste familieleden alleen een beheersbare erfenis na. Viktoria en Vincent krijgen kleine dingen. Viktoria krijgt een kleine staande klok en Vincent een poëziealbum. Alle betrokkenen vermoeden meteen dat daarachter de sleutel tot het echte fortuin schuilt. Omdat Viktoria en Vincent elkaar niet kunnen uitstaan, gebruiken ze elke truc voor persoonlijk gewin. Maar ze beseffen al snel dat de ander het minste kwaad is vergeleken met hun slechte naaste familieleden en ze besluiten de puzzel samen op te lossen.
