De elfjarige Kip is een intelligente en gevoelige jongen met een passie voor antropologie. Zijn moeder bestudeert de ijs mummie Ötzi in het Zuid-Tiroler Archeologiemuseum in Bozen. Als een tragisch ongeval Kips leven verandert, moet hij noodgedwongen verhuizen en zijn vrienden verlaten.
