Waar gaat Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie over?
Wanneer Dr. Eggman de president en zijn dochter gegijzeld houdt, wordt Sonic gedwongen de bevelen van de kwaadaardige wetenschapper op te volgen - en dus gaat hij op weg naar Eggmanland. Daar heeft hij de taak om de generator van de stad uit te schakelen en Black Eggman te stoppen. Maar Sonic is zich er niet van bewust dat hij al in de val zit, waardoor het kwaadaardige wezen Hyper Metal Sonic tot leven komt. Die vijand is een tegenhanger geconstrueerd door Dr. Eggman, die de vernietiging van Sonic als doel heeft.
