Waar gaat Star Driver over?
Op een nacht spoelt een jongen genaamd Takuto aan op de kust, zwemmend vanaf het vasteland. Hij schrijft zich later als eerstejaars in voor de Southern Cross High School en maakt nieuwe vrienden. Onder de school bevindt zich echter een groep mysterieuze reuzen genaamd Cybodies, die door mensen kunnen worden bestuurd in een alternatieve dimensie die bekend staat als Zero Time. Takuto, de 'Galactic Pretty Boy', wordt meegesleurd in de oppositie met de 'Glittering Crux Brigade'.
