在高中担任数学老师的犬冢公平是位单亲爸爸，独力抚养5岁的女儿䌷希，不过，厨艺很差的他，每次都只能让䌷希吃难吃的便当。某天，他带䌷希去赏花时，遇到一位因为便当太好吃而流下眼泪的少女饭田小鸟，并得知她母亲开了一家料理店。为了给䌷希吃好吃的东西，犬冢决定带她去那里吃饭，可是店里却只有上次遇到的小鸟，但小鸟不愿意辜负料理店的好名声，坚持要亲自下厨，为爱制作的料理所交织出的温馨桌边物语，《天真与闪电》准时开动！
